With the rear of the home facing directly west and overlooking the mirror-like bay, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better view at sundown. We named it The Swan House because of our frequent swan visitors, and you’ll see them swim by often as you relax on the back deck with dinner on the grill and the ocean salt in your hair. Approximately 2 miles from Smith Point Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the many shores of Narrow Bay, this area is a boater’s, fisher’s, and surfer’s paradise. The waters are calm and are perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking (not provided). Walk or bike to Smith Point Park for the perfect beach day. This great swimming and surfing beach is just a 5-minute drive away. There are also many local nature preserves with hiking trails to explore. With a handful of nearby marinas, shopping centers, restaurants, coffee shops, parks, trails, a new roller rink, as well the Mastic/Shirley train station (app 1.5 hrs from NYC) just 4 miles away - Shirley offers plenty of convenience, amenities, and entertainment for you and your companions. (See below for a full list of nearby attractions) The house itself boasts 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom, all recently renovated, designed, and fully furnished by the owner herself - who is a fashion and prop stylist by trade. Every item in the house whether brought back from her travels or made by local artisans was picked out with care and placed here for your enjoyment. Comfort, style, and cleanliness are our priorities, and we expect our guests to feel right at home as soon as they enter for the first time. The home easily sleeps 5 with driveway parking for 2 cars, and plenty of street parking. 2 spacious bedrooms on the upper level, with one featuring a king-size bed and the other featuring 2 XL twin beds that can be joined together to make a second king mattress. The lower level features: a 3rd bedroom with a twin daybed, a bathroom with a tub and tiled shower, and and new washer and dryer. On the lower level, you will also enjoy the open feel of the dining room/living room combo with double-wide, glass sliding doors to the deck offering unobstructed views from the beautiful dining room table. The kitchen features new appliances, a large window above the sink with more incredible water views, and numerous coffee makers for your choice of coffee, espresso, and French press. All of the basic accommodations are in place - such as a digital keypad with keyless entry, high-speed WiFi, television, an outdoor grill, outdoor furniture, and a fire pit (please operate with caution and care).
